Instagram Hashtags for Fine Art Photography

Fine art photography is not the most tangible art form in photography. Some say it’s photos that are meant to be visually appealing or photographs that are to be appreciated for it’s intellectual, imaginative or aesthetic content.

As part of my photographer’s guide to social media & marketing, I’ve made a list of the hashtags I use when I share fine art photography on Instagram.

Fine art photography has really popular on Instagram and there are more fine art photographers than ever.

Popular Fine Art Photography Hashtags on Instagram

Before you just start to copy paste the fine art photography hashtags to Instagram, make sure to read how you actually use Instagram hashtags the right way. In my Photographer’s guide to Instagram Marketing I go through all of the basic and advanced tips to use Instagram, get more visibilty and followers – this will help you out a lot if you want to excel on Instagram as a fine art photographer.

What’s the point of using these hashtags on Instagram?

It’s pretty simple actually. Instagram keeps pushing you to subscribe to hashtags like “fine art photography”, to serve you relevant content from people you don’t follow.

And by using hashtags like “fine art photo” in your Instagram Stories and IGTV for that matters, your content might be viewed by a lot of people who don’t even follow you on Instagram.

I personally don’t do much Fine Art Photography on my Instagram. I fell in love with street photography, yet I do appreciate photos that some might describe as fine art photography.
