Depending on the food you are posting and Instagram, you will need different hashtags.

If you photograph healthy food, you should use #healthyfood too.

If you upload a photo of carrots to Instagram, you should also hashtag #carrots.

You get it… It’s not that complicated, but it’s easy to forget.

As you might have noticed, these Instagram pages about food have an insane amount of followers and in order to get your food photography featured, you really need some amazing content.

Another thing to keep in mind

What camera are you using for food photography? I use the Fujifilm x100f for street photography, so I also tag #fujifilm, regardless of the what I’m photographing. This gives me a small chance that the fuji-page will repost my photo. As a food photographer, you should also tag the brand of your camera so that brand might notice your food photos.
