Frederik Trovatten

Photography by Frederik Trovatten

This is the best camera bag money can buy

When I started out doing my street photography, I never really thought I would need a camera bag, because of the freedom of traveling light.

That quickly changed, when I bought my X-T3 and multiple lenses.

The Everyday Bag from Peak Design

The Peak Design Everyday Back

Before I bought the Everyday bag from Peak design, I also looked at the big 40 liters Wandrd, Blackrapid, and Nomatic. I even looked at the Messenger bag from Peak design, but none of them felt right to me.

But my second favorite photography bag has to be the Lowepro ProTactic, which I know a lot of my photography friends are really happy with too.

What can I fit in the Everyday Bag?
Basically all my photography gear.

  • A mirrorless camera or a DSLR.
  • 2-3 of lenses
  • My laptop
  • My GoPro
  • Chargers & Cables
  • My 6TB External Lacie External Harddisk
  • My Joby GorillaPod
  • ND-filters
  • … And still with more room left.

This bag is my current favorite and it’s one of my best buys in photography.

And it’s no wonder, this is one of the most successful projects on Kickstarter when it launched. This bag was back by 26000 backers, pledging $6,565,782.

It has also earned great reviews on Amazon.com

It comes in 4 different colors, it doesn’t weigh much and it’s super comfortable for long photo walks.

But most importantly it’s really well-designed in terms of looks and functionality. Like good design is supposed to be.

All photographers, myself included, whether you do street photography, wedding photography or nature & landscape, we get caught up in always looking for more gear to buy – even though we know books is the smarter investment.

But that’s not the truth when it comes to getting yourself a great bag for your camera and photo gear. Because from me not owning a camera bag, until I got my Peak Design, it has been such a pleasure and made me want to go out and shoot a lot more than before.

I firmly believe, if you are looking for a camera bag in 2020 and you want high-quality, beautiful design and durability.

The Everyday Bag from Peak Design is my top pick.
