Three Really Great but Cheap Digital Cameras

In 2020 it’s actually possible to get a really great digital camera, without spending a lot.

The primary camera I shoot with is the beautiful Fujifilm x100f and while it’s not that cheap of a camera, it’s the camera that gives me, the most value for money. Take a look at my photos shot with the Fujifilm x100f.

Update: Since I wrote this post I’d change to the award-winning mirrorless camera from Fuji called FujiFilm X-T3.

Read my review of the X-T3 here. It’s perfect for travel, video, and professionals too.

But if I were to my a list of the best cheap cameras, or affordable or whatever, these are the cameras I’d recommend:

Ricoh GR II Digital

best affordable digital camera

Read the amazing reviews of Ricoh GR II on Amazon.com.

The reason I put the Ricoh GR II in the first place of the best cheap cameras, is simply because this small camera is one of the best cameras when it comes to value for money.

I own the black Ricoh GR II digital and I also wrote a review and shared some photos from here. A cool thing about this camera is that is very cheap, takes amazing photos and can fit in your pocket.

I use this camera for travel, portrait & street photography. Did I mention this digital camera also comes with cool built-in black and white filters?

Nikon D3400 on Amazon.com

Best Cheap DSLR camera
The most affordable DSLR camera from Nikon

This is one of the best entry-level DSLR cameras you can find.

Especially when it comes to value for money. The Nikon d3500 is a really cheap DSLR camera that also records movies at 1080p and a continuous shooting of 5 frames per second (fps). The Nikon d3400 comes with an optical viewfinder too.

Get the Nikon D 3500 on Amazon.

Sony Alpha A6000 on Amazon

Cheap digital cameras
Photo of the Sony Alpha A6000

The Sony Alpha A6000 has some of the best reviews of any digital camera on Amazon. Read what they say about the Sony Alpha A6000 here.

  • Sensor 24 MP APS-C CMOS, ISO range from 100 to 25600.
  • Incredible image quality and continuous shooting of 11 fps.

Before you select which camera to with it is important to think about what type of photography or videography you will use it for. I’ve previously written about small cameras too if that’s what you are looking for. And if you need to see a bigger selection of digital cameras Amazon.com is not a bad place to start and one of the places I’d advise you to shop for your next camera.

If you are looking for lenses, you should take a look at my favorite lenses from Fuji.
