“Where there’s Tacos, there coca Cola”

That was the idea behind this campaign I shot for Coca Cola in Mexico City. I set out to capture the spirit of Mexico City – the pulse of its streets and the vibrant culture around its beloved taquerias

Capturing Authentic Moments in the Heart of Taquerias

For Coca-Cola’s latest campaign in Norway, I set out to capture the spirit of Mexico City – the pulse of its streets and the vibrant culture around its beloved taquerias. This project was all about highlighting the natural bond between Mexican street food and Coca-Cola, and bringing that taste and experience to a Scandinavian audience.

Shot entirely in black and white, these images strip the scene down to its essentials, where each frame feels timeless and raw. I used a splash of Coca-Cola’s iconic red on the stacked crates next to the taco stalls, giving just enough color to connect the viewer to the brand without overpowering the authenticity of the moment. We didn’t want the logo to take center stage; instead, Coca-Cola’s presence is woven naturally into the narrative of these bustling taquerias.

With the tagline “Where there are tacos, there’s Coca-Cola”, the campaign pays homage to the effortless pairing of tacos and Coke – a universal match that feels as authentic in Mexico City as it does on a Scandinavian street corner. These photos are currently displayed across outdoor locations in Oslo, including the city’s main train station, to give viewers a glimpse into the rich culture and genuine moments that Coca-Cola is part of in Mexico’s street food scene.

Mexico City Street Photography

During my four years in Mexico, there was no one who spend as much time as I, walking Mexico City thin, taking street portraits of strangers I met and doing street photography.
