Coca Cola x Trovatten
“Where there’s Tacos, there coca Cola”
That was the idea behind this campaign I shot for Coca Cola in Mexico City. I set out to capture the spirit of Mexico City – the pulse of its streets and the vibrant culture around its beloved taquerias.
This is my recent campaign as a photographer and filmmaker and the images you see here at from the OOH campaign.
“Where There’s Tacos, There’s Coca-Cola”
My recent campaign with Coca-Cola, in collaboration with the creative agency Uncommon and the production team at Colony in Sweden, was an exciting opportunity to bridge cultural moments through photography. As someone who’s lived in Mexico City for four years and started my photography career here, I felt a deep connection to the campaign's theme – “Where There’s Tacos, There’s Coca-Cola.” This project allowed me to bring the vibrant atmosphere of Mexico’s street culture to audiences in Norway and Sweden.
Concept and Execution
The campaign aimed to capture Coca-Cola as the perfect companion for enjoying tacos and celebrating the rich, spontaneous moments found in Mexican street life. We wanted to convey this concept in a candid, natural style that feels true to the experience of sharing food and Coca-Cola. Each shot was composed to reflect the joy of these everyday moments, inviting viewers to connect with the brand through a genuine cultural lens.
Campaign Scope and Reach
This project extended across multiple media formats to ensure a broad audience reach:
Photo Exhibition: Displayed in Oslo’s main train station, the exhibition allowed the Norwegian public to engage with Mexican street culture, feeling the vibrancy of the scene as they moved through the station.
TV and Outdoor Advertising: The campaign’s reach further extended to television and outdoor displays across Norway and Sweden. These placements immersed viewers in the essence of Mexican street life, highlighting Coca-Cola’s role in bringing people together over shared meals.
My Approach
Living in Mexico City has offered me a unique insight into its culture, which I aimed to capture through this project. From conceptual planning with Uncommon to the on-location shoots managed alongside Colony in Sweden, I worked closely with each team to bring authenticity to every shot. Together, we focused on casting locals and setting up scenes that felt real and unfiltered, with Coca-Cola naturally integrated into each interaction.
the Outcome
The final images successfully transported the warmth and spirit of Mexico to Northern Europe, fostering a connection to Coca-Cola through genuine, everyday moments. This campaign is a proud addition to my portfolio, reflecting my ability to tell culturally resonant stories that align with brand objectives.
I'd love to discuss potential collaborations if you’re an agency or brand seeking a photographer who brings authenticity and cultural insight to each project. Please reach out to learn more.
